How To Upgrade Union Level Quickly in Wuthering Waves
If you've played any live-service gacha game like Wuthering Waves before, you probably already know that they tend to gatekeep a lot of game mechanics behind your current level. This is done so that the players can stay invested in the game for a long time while they try to unlock everything possible.
However, getting to a higher Union Level during the early stages of the game is necessary since that's the only way you can build your characters and challenge the endgame content, so here are a few tips to help you out.
Finish All Your Quests
During the early game, most of your time will be taken by quests and world exploration. However, when we talk about getting level-ups quickly, the former is way better. Most of the main content is locked behind the main quests, so you already have to do them, and these also provide a decent bit of EXP.
However, once you're done with the main quests, you'll also unlock various story quests for characters, exploration quests, tutorial quests, and normal world quests. These quests can easily give you up to 500 EXP each on average, with the exploration and story quests giving even more.
Spend Your Waveplate
As you might already know, letting your waveplate cap as soon as you unlock something you can spend it on isn't recommended. This is mostly because waveplate is a limited and sought-after currency that only regenerates if it's not capped.
Every time you spend 20 waveplate on anything, you can get 150 Union EXP in return among other rewards. Each day gives you 240 waveplate, which amounts to a total of 1,800 EXP. You can get even more of these when you use the Crystal Solvent in your inventory.
Dailies And First Clear For World Bosses
This entry arguably serves as one of the best ways to level up, with one being a regular source of EXP and the other being a limited but a massive source. After reaching a certain level, you can unlock your daily activity. This can be found in your journal, and it asks you to fulfill various tasks in exchange for rewards.
These rewards include a whopping 2,000 Union EXP every day. It can easily give you a significant boost as long as you finish them every day. Moreover, whenever you defeat a world boss (not weeklies) for the first time, you get 500 Union EXP, and you don't even have to spend waveplate to get this reward.
Open World Exploration
Once you've exhausted all the options mentioned above, you can now turn to open-world exploration for your EXP gain. This is also a great way to get new quests hidden in the parts that you didn't visit before. Whenever you open a chest in the open world, you'll get at least ten Union EXP.
While this might not sound like a lot, it stacks up very quickly due to the sheer number of chests around. After exploring for a bit, you can also claim some useful Utilities from the Pioneer Association to help yourself further.
