Chinese development studio Starry Studio, in collaboration with NetEase Games, is set to launch their supernatural open-world sandbox survival game, "Once Human," in Q3 2024. The game will be available on multiple platforms including App Store, Google Play, and Steam. Recently, the studio released new concept art, offering players a glimpse of what's to come.
"Once Human" is a multiplayer open-world survival game set in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by a mysterious substance known as "Stardust." Players assume the role of "Evolvers," navigating a world transformed by this alien material. They must choose whether to compete for scarce resources or collaborate with others to build and explore. By gathering resources, players can establish their own territories and defend them against horrific mutated creatures, all while uncovering the truth behind the apocalypse.
In this stardust-tainted world, food and water are contaminated, posing a threat to players' health and sanity. Numerous hidden dangers lurk, requiring players to stay vigilant to survive. The game also features seven types of firearms with over 100 blueprints for players to collect and use. By upgrading their weapons with various attachments, players can enhance their firepower and improve their chances in combat.
"Once Human" promises a rich survival experience, combining resource management, base building, and intense combat, set in a world filled with mystery and danger.
