Fantasy RPG 'Towatsugai Forever Double Angel' Ceases Operation on July 23rd

Square Enix, in collaboration with Animate and Marketing Partner, has been developing the iOS/Android mobile RPG "Towatsugai" (トワツガイ). Today, on the 17th, it was announced that the service will conclude on July 23.

The game, crafted by "Shiramoto Naisao" (Ilca), features a rich world setting, with music production by "Okabe Keichi/Seo Shotaro" (Monaca) and character design by "Snow Wake" for the "Towatsugai forever Double" series. It's a battle fantasy RPG focusing on the cultivation of the main character. The story unfolds from the "Black Sea," which begins to consume the land, introducing creatures like the "disaster witch" and other sea alien "warcraft." To combat these alien monsters, the "special disaster countermeasures of the main CAGE" are formed, deploying a pair of girls known as "bird" into this intense conflict.

According to the official announcement, the team has been striving to enhance the service content since the game launched on February 16, 2023. However, they have ultimately decided to discontinue the service as it's become challenging to maintain user satisfaction in the future. While the game version will cease its service, the main story created by Naao Shiramoto will continue. Additionally, a secondary online community called "Towatsugai Fans" is set to launch on the day of the service's end, with registrations now open.
