Early Access Now Open: A Twisted Path to Renown 6/6, Multiplayer FPS Set in the American West

Ukrainian independent game studio Game Labs has announced that their latest creation, "A Twisted Path to Renown," developed and published by them, will be available for early access on PC Steam starting June 6th.

Set in the American West of 1899, "A Twisted Path to Renown" is a large-scale multiplayer FPS game adopting the PvPvE format. Players will embody cowboys experiencing the wild frontier life, navigating the vast Western world solo or alongside others to survive or undertake missions to enhance their reputation, aspiring to become renowned heroes of their time.

Characters will possess attributes like hunger and thirst, necessitating resource acquisition, food preparation, and rest management. Resources can be acquired through combat, hunting, mining, farming, or even trading with other players. In addition to contending with fellow players, NPCs, outlaws, and wildlife will pose threats to players' lives, with battles potentially unfolding on each player's territory. Weapons in the game are inspired by real weapons of the time, with careful attention paid to gun mechanics. Weapons can be obtained through crafting, and various practical items can be produced to facilitate life.

The development team has stated that the early access version will span 18 to 24 months, during which all items in the FPS segment, a physics system reflecting the 19th-century ambiance, an auction system tied to trading elements, and strategic fog environment representation will be open for players to experience. Updates will gradually introduce new maps and weapon projects, with plans in the pipeline for future release on home console platforms.
