Loop Hero | Card Combos Guide
“Loop Hero” is a roguelike game where players take on the role of completing loop after loop. They utilize cards to create scenes and defeat enemies. Now, let me share some thoughts on card selection and layout for early exploration in “Loop Hero.”
To understand exploration, we first need to know about the card types. In the game, there are five card categories: Road Cards, Roadside Cards, Landscape Cards, Special Cards, and Golden Cards. During the early exploration phase, only the first four types are available.
Road Cards: These can be placed directly on the road. Consider including the Graveyard and Grove cards. The Graveyard generates a skeleton every 3 days, while the Grove spawns a ratwolf every 2 days.
Roadside Cards: These are placed alongside the road. I recommend using the Battlefield and Streetlamp cards. The Battlefield generates a chest at the start of each loop. Nearby enemies might turn into ghosts, and chests are crucial for obtaining equipment. Streetlamps reduce the maximum number of enemies on adjacent tiles and can stack, preventing overwhelming encounters later on.
Landscape Cards: These are placed away from the road. Consider including the Rock and Meadow cards. Rocks increase the hero’s maximum health, while Meadows provide healing when passing through a camp.
Special Cards: These cards serve specific functions. I suggest including only the Empty Space card. Empty Space allows you to remove tiles and is the sole card capable of doing so.
