The classic Erangel map of PUBG is returning to the Jedi battlefield!

Krafton's subsidiary studio, PUBG Studios, has announced that the classic Erangel map will be reintroduced for players to enjoy in the upcoming version 29.2 of "PUBG: Battlegrounds".


Classic Erangel will be available for players to experience for two consecutive weeks starting from May 14th, offering a perfect recreation of classic elements, including terrain, towns, practice weapons on the spawn island's long tables, and recoil adjustments.

Perfect Recreation of Classic Elements

Classic Erangel rebuilds the original version of Erangel, the first map in "PUBG," with the aim of invoking nostalgia among survivors who played "PUBG" during its early access period. This map seamlessly blends the original concept and atmosphere of Erangel's initial release with current gameplay elements, providing a unique and enjoyable experience.

Practice weapons will return on the spawn island's long tables!

Classic elements from the original Erangel map will be reproduced in Classic Erangel. The nostalgic wooden tables on the spawn island will make a comeback, where survivors will find weapons placed for them to grab and shoot, just like before.


Additionally, gunplay balance has been adjusted to return to the early fun, with recoil reduced for the majority of weapons. Survivors can also once again find the Tommy Gun in airdrop crates (now a regular ground-spawned weapon). Moreover, survivors will be able to experience rainy weather again, along with nostalgic terrain, world maps, mini-maps, and UI interfaces.

Survivors can experience the limited-time return of Classic Erangel in normal mode. The PC version will be available from May 14th to May 28th, while the console version will be available from May 23rd to June 6th.
