According to reports, the preview version of the game uses D encryption anti-piracy technology. Although we refer to it as The Sims 5, EA has not officially announced its name yet, so the name may change in the future.
Interestingly, the leaked preview version shows that the game is not using the Frostbite Engine as expected, but is actually made using the Unreal Engine. However, it is currently unclear whether it's Unreal Engine 4 or Unreal Engine 5.
The Sims 5 will be a free-to-play game, and it is speculated that EA will use D encryption to protect its paid expansion packs and DLC.
Of course, we will not provide any download links to the leaked version here (you know why). Additionally, EA has not announced the release date of The Sims 5 yet.
