Legendary equipment in Last Epoch is distinguished by having one or more additional suffixes on unique gold equipment. With sufficient forging potential on the unique gold equipment, up to four suffixes can be added (2 prefixes and 2 suffixes), each ranging from level 1 to 7. Most types of unique gold equipment can be crafted into legendary gear as long as the appropriate materials are used.

There are two methods to craft legendary equipment:

1. Use a unique gold piece with at least 1 point of legendary potential, along with a purple equipment of the same type with 2 prefixes and 2 suffixes.

2. Use a unique gold piece with the Weaver's Will affix.

The number of legendary potential points on the unique gold equipment determines the number of suffixes that can be inherited by the purple gear, ranging from 1 to 4. It is crucial to choose unique gold base equipment with high initial rolls as subsequent rolls won't reroll these values.

Additionally, the purple equipment must belong to the same equipment slot as the unique gold gear to be suitable for crafting legendary equipment. The specific types and tiers of affixes on the purple gear are not critical, as long as the correct number of affixes is present for the unique gold gear requirements.

To craft legendary equipment, players need to progress through the Time Temple dungeon, requiring the consumption of Time Temple Keys (random drops in the game world or have a high chance to drop from timeline bosses in the End of Time). After defeating the boss Zerrick in the Time Temple, players can locate the Eternal Chest in the subsequent room, which is essential for crafting legendary gear.

Opening the Eternal Chest in the Holy Epoch (requires time travel) allows players to place the unique gold equipment with legendary potential and the purple gear with 4 affixes into the chest, then seal it. By switching to the Ruined Epoch and opening the Eternal Chest there, players can obtain their crafted legendary equipment.

Each dungeon run allows for one legendary equipment craft. To craft additional legendary gear, players will need another Time Temple Key to run the dungeon again.

While the crafting process for legendary equipment may be straightforward, acquiring the necessary unique gold and purple gear can be challenging. Players can increase their chances by farming bosses for unique gold equipment and optimizing corruption levels and rarity to obtain desired items.

2. Farming 4-Affix Purple Gear:

- To obtain Tier 7 affixes, players should farm in level 90 zones.

- Efficiency-focused Echo reward nodes, especially at higher corruption levels, are recommended for farming.

- For those with sufficient gold, endless dungeon runs can be a viable option.

- Recommended dungeons for farming belts, shoes, and gloves include the Forge.

Using Creation Runes to duplicate a perfect purple gear piece for crafting legendary equipment is advisable if players do not want to consume the original gear. However, caution is advised, as the duplication process can fail, and the original gear must have adequate forging potential for the duplication to succeed.
