3. Event Description and Gameplay:
After the event starts, a new mission or challenge will unlock every two days. To receive the new unlocks, you must have completed the previous stage.
Travelers who meet the participation requirements will receive the event mission A Friend Comes from Afar - Part One after logging in at 10:00 on February 21st. Follow the mission guide to start the challenge, where players will need to cook dishes using provided ingredients to begin the challenge.
The challenge involves cooking and its extended gameplay, with 3 fixed sequential steps: Cutting, Mixing, and Cooking. Each step allows for 5 independent error attempts. An error in one step will not consume error attempts in other steps. Remaining error attempts can be seen above the buttons.
- Cutting:
The pointer will move on a dial and will reverse after reaching the other side, with each reversal consuming an error attempt. Click the button when the pointer passes through the orange area to succeed. The number of clicks required and the size of the orange area vary for each ingredient.
- Mixing:
Long-press the button to rotate the pointer clockwise. Release the button when passing through the orange area to succeed. Releasing early or not releasing after passing the area will consume an error attempt.
- Cooking:
Similar to regular cooking, click the button when the pointer reaches the orange area.
After completing the three steps, there will be a plating segment where travelers can adjust according to their preference. Once the plate is set, the challenge is considered completed. Don't forget to pay attention to the follow-up storyline dialogues after completing the challenge.

- Shrimp: Teleport to the lower right anchor point in Liyue Harbor, head towards the lower right on the map to buy from Dongsheng.
- Crab Roe and Flour: Purchase from Sara in Mondstadt at the Adventurer's Guild.
- Mint: Found along the riverbanks in Mondstadt. Head towards the upper left of the map from the Mondstadt city gate teleport point to find the herb.
- Bird Egg: Purchase from Draff in Springvale, Mondstadt during daytime.
