The release date of the Nintendo Switch 2 has always been a focus of attention for many players. According to previous leaked information, the Nintendo Switch 2 was originally scheduled to be announced in March this year. However, content creator PH Brazil (who first leaked the news of the delayed release of the Switch) revealed on the Famiboards forum that Nintendo has postponed the announcement of the Switch 2 to sometime in June this year. Additionally, he claimed that the new console's launch will fully support physical game releases and have backward compatibility with digital game versions.
Furthermore, this leaker also stated that Nintendo is planning to hold a brand-new direct event in April. Regarding this event, well-known industry insider and editor-in-chief of Universo Nintendo, Felipe Lima, mentioned that, to his knowledge, this will be a regular direct event and not a mini one. This suggests that we can expect various major announcements and news about first-party games.
Currently, Nintendo still has two major Switch titles planned for release this year, but the release dates have not been announced yet. One is Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, and the other is a remake of Paper Mario RPG: The Thousand-Year Door. If the direct event does happen in April, we might expect to see these two games and learn about their release dates.
