Once you reach level 5 in Battlefield 2, it is recommended to switch to mid-game strategic equipment, which can be used all the way up to level 15.
1. Recoilless Rifle
The recoilless rifle is a popular choice among many players and can be unlocked after reaching level 5 at the Patriotic Administration Center, following the anti-tank weapons. During this stage, you can choose to use disposable anti-tank weapons based on preference or specific situations, or replace them with the recoilless rifle.

The recoilless rifle has a longer cooldown time and does not provide two weapons like anti-tank weapons do. Instead, it uses a supply pack for replenishment, which can be used by yourself or your teammates, ensuring continuous output. Using a scope can enhance accuracy, making it suitable for encounters with Titans or rushing bugs.

2. Gatling Sentry Gun
It is recommended to always choose a defensive strategic equipment, such as an automated turret, in your loadout. The Gatling sentry gun is a personal preference due to its fast rate of fire and agility, making it easy to rotate and lock onto targets. While some turrets may have higher firepower, they often have slower movement speeds and require finding a more suitable location or terrain for deployment compared to the Gatling sentry gun, which has lower deployment requirements.

3. Eagle Frozen Napalm Airstrike
The Eagle Frozen Napalm Airstrike can cause significant damage and continuous destruction to targets. It can clear entire bug nests and restrict enemy movements. Unlocked at level 5, this airstrike can be used twice with a cooldown time of only 15 seconds. However, its applicability is limited, so it is advisable to unlock based on specific needs.

4. Minigun

The minigun boasts incredible power, allowing you to attack distant enemies from the rear. Aside from easily eliminating bug enemies, it can effectively penetrate the armor of larger enemies like Titans. Equipped with a supply pack, it does not rely on teammates for rearming, allowing for quick reloads either solo or in a group. While it is more effective in limited environments, it is recommended to purchase unlocking when finances allow, depending on the specific environment.
5. Guard Dog or Guard Dog Rover
The Guard Dog and Guard Dog Rover act as personal bodyguards, providing security behind you. The Guard Dog wields the Liberator assault rifle, while the Guard Dog Rover uses a laser rifle. The choice between them can be based on personal preference or specific circumstances. Both weapons offer 360° coverage, preventing enemies from getting close. It's important to note that the assault rifle of the Guard Dog consumes ammunition, while the laser rifle of the Guard Dog Rover overheats and requires cooling down. In terms of gameplay experience, the assault rifle depletes ammo faster, while the laser rifle has a shorter cooling period, allowing for longer continuous shooting.
