Triggering Locations for Kiryu's Memories in Yakuza 8
The following memories are more complex sub-story type memories, sometimes marked with slightly different icons on the map, and some require specific locations to be found. Please note that the numbering is separate for Ijincho and Kamurocho, with a maximum of 50 memories in Ijincho and 40 memories in Kamurocho. Like side quests, you may not always be able to complete some due to story progress or time of day, but in Premium Adventure mode, all memories can be completed after the story.
Ijincho
35. Name and Face – Chapter 12
Go to the Survive Bar and talk to the bartender. This memory is just a conversation with the bartender, and once completed, you will finish the memory.
36. Fighting for the Stars – Chapter 12 (After returning from Kamurocho)
Go up the stairs of the building where Harbor Light is located and trigger a scene for a new store. This memory is just a conversation, and once completed, you will finish the memory.
37. Eternal Legacy – Chapter 14 (Ending)
Go to the chief near the homeless camp and trigger a scene. After completing it, go up and talk to him again to get another scene and complete the memory.
38. Guilty Conscience – Chapter 8 (After receiving the target and returning to Kamurocho Hills)
Go to the southwest corner of the map, at the intersection of Hinode Street and Hinode Bridge, where you can find Hamako. Agree to have tea with her and then answer the conversation in your preferred way to complete the memory.
39. Underground Arms Dealer
Go to the corner of Kinka Bridge and N Sakura River St. (northwest of Survive, if you've been there already, the underground gambling den is there), and as you walk along the railing, it will trigger an automatic scene prompting you to climb down the ladder. 35. Friendship Without an End – Chapter 8 (After receiving the target and going to the Seiryu Clan office)
Go near the children's park in the northwest corner of the map and approach the group of kids. After the next scene, go to Park No. 3 near Tenkaichi Alley to find the kids again. Defeat the two people bullying them to complete the memory.
36. Some Things Never Change – Chapter 8 (After receiving the target and going to the Seiryu Clan office)
Walk to the corner of W Taihei Blvd. and Tenkaichi St., where a homeless person is located. Approach him and choose to find a hospital, then go to the nearby marked building elevator. After the scene, you will complete the memory.
38. Eternal Duel – Chapter 8 (After receiving the target and going to the Seiryu Clan office)
Enter the empty space south of Champion District. After the initial scene, you will fight three enemies. After defeating them, you will have a second battle against one enemy. This is a solo battle for Kiryu only, and you can quit if you need to heal. You can use Poundmates in this fight if needed, which can help balance the odds.
40. x4 Shine! – Chapter 12 and complete Ijincho Memory #36
Return to Shine and talk to the woman standing in front. This time you will fight three enemies and then a long scene will follow. After that, you will complete the memory.
