How to Beat New Weekly Boss All-Devouring Narwhal in Genshin Impact 4.2

The new weekly boss All-Devouring Narwhal in Genshin Impact 4.2 is divided into two stages, namely the hostile giant whale and the black phantom of the whale’s belly. Don’t use a pure thunder/water team, try to bring Maple Dan characters, Manghuang attack can cause a lot of damage.

I. Overview of All-Devouring Narwhal’s Playstyle

The battle with the All-Devouring Narwhal is divided into two stages (actually three stages):

First stage: The hostile giant whale, after the hostility is full, will devour the player into the second stage;

Second stage: The black phantom in the belly of the giant whale, the black phantom will continue to attack, defeating it can exit the belly of the giant whale;

Repeat the first stage (third stage): The invincible giant whale, from the giant whale’s belly back to the giant whale, the giant whale is paralyzed for about 24s; after the giant whale recovers for 40s, it will devour the player into the second stage… so on and so forth;

Of course, the first and third stages are very similar and can be considered as one stage.

There is no significant blood lock mechanism in the whole battle, it can be killed directly.

II. First Stage

The giant whale in battle will accumulate the hostility of the invaders…

“Hostility” mechanism:

The upper limit of hostility is 120 points, and hostility can be accumulated in the following ways:

1、Under natural conditions, increase 1 point of hostility per second

2、When attacking the giant whale, accumulate the numerator of the percentage of life value corresponding to the damage this time, for example, if a character’s attack takes away 10% of the giant whale’s life value, then the hostility is +10;

3、Destroy the vortex eye, hostility +30.

In the first stage, when the “hostility” of the giant whale accumulates to a certain extent, a “vortex eye” will appear on the field at a random time, it will slowly attract all players on the field;

If it is not destroyed within 10s, it will self-destruct, causing 50% attack power of water elemental damage.

The “vortex eye” can be destroyed by 8 attacks or 1 Manghuang attack, and 30 hostility will be accumulated when destroyed.

After the “hostility” of the giant whale in the first stage accumulates to a certain extent, or after the giant whale recovers for 40s in the third stage, the giant whale will emerge from the side, open its mouth to devour the player, and enter the second stage…

Inside the belly of the giant whale, the black phantom will continue to use the thunder elemental great sword to attack…

III. Second Stage

The blood bar of the phantom is displayed under the blood bar of the giant whale in the form of a white shield, which is about 60% of the life value of the giant whale. So this is not a shield in the general sense.

The phantom in the belly of the giant whale will continue to attack the player. Every 16s, the phantom will launch “Vortex Black Yi”: transform into a vortex shadow, summon several phantom animals for a one-time attack.

At this time, use 1 Manghuang attack, you can interrupt its charge, this will also additionally backlash the phantom 25% of the life value.

Defeating the phantom can escape this space, and cause 20% life value backlash damage to the giant whale, paralyzing the giant whale,

Because of this, the giant whale does not devour the player when its life value is less than 20%, and enters a lasting third stage.

The second time you revisit the black phantom, it only has 50% of its life left, corresponding to the upper limit of 30% of the giant whale’s life value, the difficulty will be lower than the initial visit.

An interesting point is that if the giant whale’s life value is less than 20% for the first time while devouring the player, then when you exit the belly of the giant whale, it will lock 1% of the life value.

IV. Notes on the Battle of All-Devouring Narwhal:

1、Don’t use a pure water/thunder team; the giant whale with high water resistance and the phantom with high thunder resistance are not conducive to output.

2、Characters who draw the ground into a prison, do not output when the giant whale is running around; the giant whale has a large span, making the buff field seem very small; it is recommended to output when paralyzed.

3、Bring Maple Dan characters; Maple Dan characters all have primitive power, and the Manghuang attribute attack caused by primitive power can cause considerable damage to the phantom.

4、There is no water on the giant whale! Don’t look at the water and go to evaporate, it’s just that the water resistance is very high.
