Genshin Impact players will be helping Balent fix the underwater pipes in this new Version 4.1 quest. This guide will help players complete it.

How To Find Balent and Rescue Him From the Hilichurl Camp

After players interact with Aigouy, they will have to rescue his coworker, Balent, who has gone missing. Balent can be found on a small island further northwest of the shore. He will be locked inside a cage at the Hilichurl camp and, after defeating them, players will be able to free him and then proceed with the story. The Hilichurls can be easily defeated with the help of the numerous explosive Pyro barrels in the vicinity, which will push them into the water after detonating.

Players can then proceed with the story until they reach the point where Balent requests the Traveler's help in fixing the underwater pipes in specific regions of Fontaine. The locations of the Pipelines will be mapped out, and players are free to choose any order by which they prefer to fix them, but this guide will provide an easier route to complete the task. There are a total of four underwater pipelines with valves that need to be turned.

Underwater Pipeline 1

The first Pipeline is located near two Underwater Survey Meks. It will be easier for players to first defeat them and then turn the valves. Players can teleport to the waypoint towards the west of the Fortress of Meropide. The valve can then be found a few meters from the waypoint, and Travelers only need to turn it twice to fix the gas leak.

Underwater Pipeline 2

After completing the first pipeline, players can swim up and then head north for the second one. Unfortunately, this pipeline will be infested by Red Meanies and Mini Meanies, which can be a little strenuous for players to deal with. These new underwater enemies will need to be killed fast so that they do not immediately resurface. It would be beneficial to use the water blades by Xenochromatic Hunter’s Ray to break the Red Meanies in a timely fashion. Travelers can find the Hunter Ray swimming behind them.

The valve will be unlocked after defeating them and only has to be turned a couple of times to stop the gas from leaking.

Underwater Pipeline 3

The easiest of the lot, this pipeline only needs one turn, and it will be fixed. It will be located a few meters north of the second Underwater Pipeline.

Underwater Pipeline 4

The last underwater pipeline in the quest will be missing a valve and is located far west of the Millennial Pearl Seahorse. Travelers will be able to find the valve trapped inside the Fontemer Seagrass a little ways below the Pipeline. The Seagrass can only be broken by the Fontemer Water Blades, which can be obtained with the help of the nearby Xenochromatic Hunter Ray. The trick to cutting the Seagrass is being quick and agile, as the grass immediately grows back if players are too slow in cutting the rest. After retrieving the valve, players have to attach it to the pipe and turn the valve to stop the gas from escaping.

Once completed, Travelers can report back to Balent and complete the quest. This quest will grant players the following rewards:
