Genshin Impact: How To Remove The Red Barrier In Underwater Merusea Village (Echoes Of The Ancient Quest)
Most of Melusine's quests in Genshin Impact can only be taken after players travel with Mamere in the Ancient Colors quest, while some others can be done even before journeying with the painter. However, there are also missions where people must complete Hey, This Isn’t Pumpkin Soup… before they can be triggered. For instance, The Lone Phantom Sail quest will only appear once Travelers see the ghost ship of the Sponsian after consuming Verenata’s concoction. Unlike many other Melusine quests, the Lone Phantom Sail doesn’t require people to complete Ancient Colors.
However, when it comes to Echoes on the Ancient World quest in Genshin Impact, players must finish two Melusine missions before it can be triggered. This task will also remove the red barrier in the underwater Merusea Village, which hides a treasure Chest inside it.
How To Trigger Echoes Of The Ancient World In Genshin Impact

To trigger the Echoes on the Ancient World quest, speak to Verenata near the water hole that leads to underwater Merusea Village in Genshin Impact. If she’s not there, it’s likely because players haven’t completed her previous Hey, This Isn’t Pumpkin Soup… mission along with the Ancient Colors quest. The former is required as Echoes on the Ancient World is a continuation of it, while Ancient Colors is the mission that eventually unlocked the other half of Elynas’ underground area.
How To Look For A Way To Break The Seal

To break the seal in the Echoes on the Ancient World quest in Genshin Impact, players must simply use their attack to hit three Crystal Mechanisms. These mechanisms won’t appear until people reach this part of the quest, so the red barrier in the underwater Merusea Village can only be removed by following the Echoes on the Ancient World quest. One of the Crystal Mechanisms is somewhat hidden, but from a certain angle, all three can be seen at once in a clear position.
After all the Crystal Mechanisms are activated, the red barrier in underwater Merusea Village will disappear, and players can finally explore the area. However, there’s not much there, so it’s a place people likely will visit once and then never again afterward.
Next, Travelers must find the lost score, which they can get by investigating the glowing spot near some crates and vases. Sadly, after obtaining the Melody of Vesta, Topyas will admit that she doesn’t know how to read it. Therefore, players must seek help from Katheryne to find someone who can decode it.
How To Use Xenochromatic Armored Crab’s Ability To Unleash Shockwaves At The Conch Harp

Using the Armored Crab’s underwater attack in Genshin Impact to hit the center likely won’t work, so if players are wondering how to hit at the Conch Harp in this part of the quest, they can try hitting the circled spot.
After the shockwave is unleashed, a bunch of crabs will exit from the conch, and players have to clear them out. Once the enemies are defeated, the quest will proceed and eventually end, rewarding Travelers with Song of the Ancients achievement, 30 Primogems, one Strange Part, two Hero’s Wits, 22,500 Mora, and three Mystic Enhancement Ores.
