A recent leak from Genshin Impact is teasing the lineup of five-star characters set to release throughout the second half of the game's ongoing Fontaine cycle. The addition of the HoYoverse RPG's newest region has already brought a plethora of unique and diverse characters to its already sizable roster. Version 4.1 would recently see the introduction of two new five-star characters in Neuvillette and Wriothesley, while Version 4.2 was revealed to be bringing the highly-anticipated Furina alongside Charlotte. Now, leaks are hinting at future characters coming to the playable cast.
While the aquatic Fontaine region has only received two updates so far, Genshin Impact has seen several of the region's new characters leaked. Notable leaks have teased Navia's release in Version 4.3 as the first Geo character to join Genshin Impact's roster in nearly two years, as well as the long-rumored Cloud Retainer reportedly coming in Version 4.4. Further leaks have even suggested the game will welcome its newest playable Fatui Harbinger, with Arlecchino playing a major role in Fontaine's story. Now, Arlecchino, Clorinde, and more are rumored to arrive in Fontaine's second half.
New information shared by prominent Genshin Impact leaker Tao reveals the character roadmap for Fontaine's second half, detailing new characters from Version 4.5 through 4.8. Heavily-rumored Inazuma character Chiori is reportedly set to launch with the Version 4.5 update, while Arlecchino will make her debut in Version 4.6. Version 4.7 will see the release of Fontaine's Champion Duelist Clorinde, while the Fontaine cycle is set to round out with a new unannounced character in Emilie. No information was given about any rarities or four-star characters within the leak.
The new character leaks come as Genshin Impact's recent characters look to make a major impact on the game's meta. Neuvillette has already seen significant success following his launch, earning over $3 million USD in China alone and serving as a popular and powerful DPS character. Leaks about Furina's kit have suggested the Hydro Archon will feature a unique HP-draining mechanic, sapping both herself and her allies' health to empower her own abilities. The upcoming Wriothesley also looks to be a popular DPS choice for Melt-based team compositions.
With a suite of highly-anticipated characters on the way, Genshin Impact is giving fans plenty of opportunities to earn more Primogems, both in-game and out-of-game. The addition of new areas in both Version 4.0 and 4.1 has brought a multitude of rewards for players through both exploration and new quests.
