Honkai Star Rail: Fu Xuan's Best Build, Light Cones & Team Comps
Fu Xuan is probably the sassiest fortune-teller you will ever meet! Despite her cute appearance and adorable voice, she is a pretty confident, yet blunt character! Next to that, she holds an incredibly important position within the Xianzhou Luofu as the Master Diviner of the Divination Commission.
She seems to be a really unique unit, with a lot of character and an exciting background story as well. If you plan on adding this pink-haired lady to your Star Rail roster, check out the following guide in order to build her the correct way!
Honkai Star Rail: Fu Xuan – Best Build, Light Cone & Team Comp
The newest addition to the Star Rail lineup, Fu Xuan, will probably be available in the first half of the upcoming limited banner in version 1.3. She is a 5-Star character, who follows the path of The Preservation and deals Quantum type damage!
Until now, Fu Xuan was only seen during the Xianzhou Luofu story arc, where she tried to hunt down and arrest Kafka. Shortly after capturing the most wanted Stellaron Hunter however, Kafka revealed her true power and showed how little she cared about Fu Xuan's sealing power.
Fu Xuan Best Build
In order to make your build as good as possible, you should aim to give your character a 4-piece set together with a 2-piece set! If there is no other option, you can also try to build three 2-piece sets. This, for example, is an excellent choice for Dan Heng IL!
As of right now, it's quite hard to tell which set Fu Xuan would prefer! Since she is a Quantum character, the “Genius of Brilliant Stars” set could be beneficial to her damage! However, Fu Xuan will be a Preservation unit, means a tank, who mitigates damage for her teammates.
On the other hand, she deals more damage if her HP in under 50% of her max HP, which means she is supposed to be damaged. In order for her to survive with just 49% of her entire HP, she has to be quite tanky!
Relic Set Combination #1
This combination could work out quite well if you aim to increase her DEF in order to survive:
2-piece: Genius of Brilliant Stars
2-piece: Knight of Purity Palace / Guard of Wuthering Snow
2-piece: Belobog of the Architects

This second option, would make her more durable through higher max HP instead of resistances:
2-piece: Genius of Brilliant Stars
2-piece: Longevous Disciple
2-piece: Fleet of the Ageless
There will a better set for Fu Xuan some day eventually, however, for now we have to deal with what we have!
Best Stats For Fu Xuan
The right (sub) stats are just as important as the correct set. You should aim for the following stats:
Body: DEF% / HP% (Survivability) | CRIT DMG / Rate (Damage)
Boots: SPD
Planar Sphere: DEF% / HP% (Survivability) | Elemental DMG (Damage)
Link Rope: DEF% / HP%
Fu Xuan Light Cones
Since it is still a little unsure, which stats Fu Xuan really likes, there are several options she could choose from right now. However, Preservation weapons are some of the best Light Cones within the game anyway, which means almost all of them are absolutely useable.
5-Star Light Cones
She Already Shut Her Eyes
It is pretty obvious, which Light Cones is the best in slot option: “She Already Shut Her Eyes”, which is the signature weapon for Fu Xuan. Let alone the design of the weapon picture is so beautiful!
Unfortunately, the effect of Fu Xuan's Light Cone is not public as of right now. The weapons stats and effect will probably decide, if you should build her tank oriented or maybe a little more on the DPS side.
Next up is Gepard's Light Cone!
Moment of Victory
Although that is Gepard's signature weapon, it is probably by far the best Preservation Light Cone as of right now. It provides the wearer with a bunch of DEF and Effect Hit Rat, which is super important for characters that can Freeze or Entangle.
In addition, whoever wears this weapon, is much more likely to be attacked, since its effect works like a taunt. This would be quite useful for Fu Xuan since she wants to be under 50% HP!
Moment of Victory has the following effect:
Increases the wearer's DEF by 16%. When the wearer is attacked, there is a 100% base chance to Burn the enemy. For each turn, the wearer deals DoT that is equal to 40% of the wearer's DEF for 2 turn(s).

4-Star Light Cones
Trend of the Universal Market
Okay, hear me out: This Light Cone could be so good on Fu Xuan, if you play her alongside with Kafka! Next to a good amount of DEF, this Light Cone provides a Burn effect on enemy targets, which deals damage depending on your DEF. Kafka would let the enemies explode with her abilities!
Trend of the Universal Market has the following effect:
Increases the wearer's DEF by 16%. When the wearer is attacked, there is a 100% base chance to Burn the enemy. For each turn, the wearer deals DoT that is equal to 40% of the wearer's DEF for 2 turn(s).
Day One of My new Life
Last, but most definitely, not least: The universally best 4-Star Preservation Light Cone “Day One of My New Life” should also suit Fu Xuan quite well. It provides a lot of DEF stats and All-Tpye RES, which is never a bad pick!
Increases wearer's DEF by 16%. After entering battle, increases DMG RES of all allies by 8%. Effects of the same type cannot stack.
As a conclusion, let's take a look at a possible team comp for her!
Fu Xuan's Team Comp
As I mentioned earlier, I would absolutely see her in a DoT focused team with Kafka! However, we could also play mono Quantum teams now, since she is the first Quantum tank.
Next to Fu Xuan, I threw Lynx in the mix as well! Since they will be on the same banner, there is a high chance that you will have both of them anyway and Lynx can take the healer spot! Alongside them, we have Kafka and Sampo, since we are going for a DoT team. You can swap out Sampo, if you prefer a buffer like Tingyun for your Kafka.
