Genshin Impact Leak Reveals More Info About Hydro Archon Focalors

A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed more information about an upcoming character, the Hydro Archon known as Focalors. Just like the four previous Archons, there is a lot of hype around the release of the new character.

While there is still no official information on when Focalors might be joining the playable roster, fans can expect Genshin Impact to follow its previous pattern of releasing new Archons one or two updates after a new major region arrives. This means that the Hydro Archon will probably join the live servers in updates 4.1 or 4.2.

Every major region in the world of Teyvat has its divine ideals and the people of the Hydro nation are known to worship technology and justice above all. A new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed more information about Focalors' kit. According to the post, her Elemental Burst will generate a field effect that reduces team members' HP while providing a buff. This skill is rare since most characters usually don't provide any debuffs to teammates, even if it increases some of their other stats. This means that players will probably need to pair her with a strong Genshin Impact healer to compensate for this HP reduction.

The leak also mentions that Archon's Elemental Burst effect will be related to gravity and fans have already started theory-crafting on how this effect could impact other characters. For example, the Anemo user Xiao relies on his Plunging Attacks to deal damage in his DPS rotation, and he's able to jump higher when his Bane of All Evil is activated. This gravity effect could allow Xiao to jump higher without using his Elemental Burst.

If this leak is true, it would add a completely new mechanic to the game's combat system. When it comes to the Hydro Archons' primary role, there are still no credible leaks. However, Travelers can expect Focalors to be a supporting character since all four of the currently available Genshin Impact Archons are supports.

While all these details come from credible leakers, the info should still be taken with a grain of salt since Fontaine's official arrival is still many months away. Going by HoYoverse's usual update schedule, players can expect version 4.0 to drop in the second half of August.
