10 Best Rare Cards in Clash Royale
Clash Royale is a mobile card game known for its fun and eccentric cards. 28 of those cards can be rare, starting at level three and can be levelled right up to 14, a notably significant power difference.
It's beneficial to have an assortment of cards that include several different types of rarities in order to formulate a strong and balanced deck. Powerful and great cards abound, and it may even be difficult to choose which ones you want to run. However, it's important to pick the ones that are a good fit for your deck and playing style overall.
10. Dart Goblin
A unique creature from the Goblin group, the Dart Goblin wears a mask and carries a blowgun to fire off darts. He acts swiftly and will quickly cross the bridge and shoot as many projectiles as he possibly can. He is perfect for deploying when your rival has run out of Elixir.
The Dart Goblin has many other uses, as he will attack dangerous flying troops that need to be taken down pronto, such as the Balloon or Minions. Also, he is great for taking down enemies on the ground like the Giant. He costs three Elixir, which is a great price for what you get.
9. Rocket
If your opponent knows that you are holding on to this card, they may just feel some anxiety, as the Rocket is a spell card that can deal so much damage with one use. A popular strategy is to knock out as much damage from the Princess Tower as possible, and then unexpectedly launch the Rocket for the final blow.
It costs six Elixir to use this card, so it should be used sparingly in critical moments. The Rocket may be your saving grace when strong and multiple troops are coming at your base. If aimed correctly, you can eliminate the majority of them with one shot.
8. Mini P.E.K.K.A
A powerful robot that is on a mission to destroy all that is in front of him, Mini P.E.K.K.A is a beast of card and should definitely be considered for your deck. He may be a bit slow to strike, but he takes a huge chunk of hitpoints when she does.
Though, it is notable he is easily taken down by swarms or hordes swiftly, which is why it's better to use Mini P.E.K.K.A as a part of a larger attack; placing him behind a larger ground troop to absorb damage and deploying a flying troop for added protection.
7. Furnace
This building card is excellent for slowly destroying your opponent's Princess Tower over time. It spawns a Fire Spirit every six seconds, acting as an excellent protective layer to defend your base. It’s great for luring characters that target buildings, such as the Hog Rider, Giant, or Royal Giant.
The Furnace may not seem like a huge threat to your rival which is exactly why they won't attempt to destroy it, unlike the Mortar or the X-Bow. Of course, this plays to your advantage sneakily dealing some damage.
6. Wizard
One of the best range troopers of the entire Clash roster is the magical character, the Wizard. He releases fireballs and burns down both ground and flying troops, making him a very useful card overall. Although, the Wizard shoots his flaming projectiles at a slower pace than other ranged troops; making card placement even more important for him.
For example, the Wizard can seamlessly burn out a Minion swarm but will have to be placed in a distance. Otherwise, he will be quickly taken out by them and five Elixir will go down the drain.
5. Fireball
One of the best area-damage spell cards, the Fireball comes in handy in many desperate and dire situations. It’s great to use with oncoming hordes of characters, especially when you don't have a card that can really do much in a circumstance like that.
The Fireball is also great to use against powerful flying troops, such as the Balloon, which simultaneously pushes it away from the tower. This card is fantastic as a last-resort blow to the Princess Tower at the very end of the match.
4. Giant
A building-targeting ground troop that is slow but steady in its objective. The Giant is one of the best rare cards to use due to the amount of damage it can exert on buildings. However, he can easily be eliminated by the use of any horde card. This is why it's always recommended to use a flying troop, such as the Baby Dragon, or other ranged troops behind him for protective measures.
Since the Giant costs five Elixir to deploy, it is better to only use him during full-blown attacks on the Princess Towers or to swiftly take down another building card.
3. Musketeer
A trooper dedicated to shooting down all members of the opposing team, the tough Musketeer is a great Rare card to consider for your deck. Costing four Elixir, she is great at dealing with other ranged troops as well as flying ones. She is decent with shooting down Minions one by one since her fire rate is quicker than others.
In general, she doesn’t have the area damage effect that the Wizard does, but she is better with singular targets due to the higher damage she musters with her gun. The Musketeer is better used behind a ground troop to shield her and let her do what she does best.
2. Valkyrie
You can’t help but be grateful for a card like Valkyrie to have at your disposal. She is fantastic with dealing with hordes that are approaching quickly. She can take them out in a couple of sweeps. She may be slow at striking, but once she does, most of the enemies in her vicinity are gone.
Valkyrie is a strong character in general, and she does even better with some support behind her, such as the Archers. It takes four Elixir to deploy her on the battlefield, which is great considering her effective ability.
1. Hog Rider
One of the most notable Rare cards available is the Hog Rider, due to his serious building damage ability. He crosses the bridge and makes it to your rival's base within seconds and is ready to hammer down the Princess Tower.
For his skills, four Elixir doesn’t sound like a waste at all. The Hog Rider can be used as a singular attack to slowly chip away at the Princess Towers over time, but he is most effectively used with other cards that safeguard him in a greater strategic attack.
