Genshin Impact Layla Hangout Guide
There are six different endings to explore, some of which involve relaxing activities with Layla, while others involve helping her uncover the mystery behind her thesis. Interestingly, rather than a liking meter, Layla has an anxiety meter that players must keep an eye on. However, many of the choices players make may not have a significant impact on the meter as they progress through the different endings. Depending on the choices made during the quest, Layla's Hangout may take players from the Akademiya to the House of Daena and other locations.
Layla Hangout Event – That Which Remains Unspoken Ending
This storyline mostly happens at the House of Daena, where players help her uncover the identity of the Wisdom Seelie. To achieve the first ending, players must follow specific options and perform certain actions as they arise:
1. Pick "Can Seelies even do something like that?" line.
2. Pick "It sounds a little sketchy, but I'll go check it out with you " line.
3. Talk with Rabah
4. Get the book from the bookshelves.
5. Pick "It might be messing with you. " line.
6. Gather information about the Wisdom Seelie by taking to various Akademiya members in the araa
7. Interpret all clues to unlock Wisdom Seelie's True Identity clue
8. Associate Wisdom Seelie's True Identity with Sighting Location
9. The Wisdom Seelie's Behavioral Logic option will appear, which can be submitted as a conclusion.
10. Travel to the ranger tower north of Pardis Dhyai with the Teleport Point on the hill and follow a set of conversations to unlock the first ending and an interesting trait about Layla.
Layla Hangout Event – The Price to Pay and Its Returns Ending
The second ending involves considerably more travel than the first, and as the storyline diverges towards the end, it's also feasible to complete the third ending shortly thereafter.
1. Pick "Can Seelies even do something like that?" line.
2. Pick "It sounds a little sketchy, but I'll go check it out with you " line and follow the same steps as the previous endings task until the diverging option comes up.
3. Pick "I'll search the answer with you " line.
4. Proceed to the quest area marker closest to the Lokapala Jungle teleport point and destroy the layered stones located there.
5. Following a brief dialogue, teleport to the vicinity of Chinvat Ravine to advance the questline, and then proceed to the next quest marker to destroy another stack of stones.
6. Travel northwards towards the next location via the Teleport Point located above Vimara Village. Once there, a diverging choice will eventually arise that will determine which ending the players will ultimately get.
7. Pick "The Seelie probably wants to do more than just criticize you for the past. Why don't you try facing your challenge head-on? " line.
Layla Hangout Event – Once Bitten Twice Shy Ending
If the second ending is unlocked before, players can continue from "The Road to Failure" story path and skip a big part of repeating the story path. If not, select the options below and repeat the aforementioned tasks in between.
1. Pick "Can Seelies even do something like that?" line.
2. Pick "It sounds a little sketchy, but I'll go check it out with you " line
3. Pick "I'll search the answer with you " line.
4. Pick "Let's take a break from searching and rest for a bit." line
5. Kill the attacking waves of fungi.
Layla Hangout Event – A Matter of Course Ending
This ending, along with the fifth and sixth endings, diverges entirely from the outset and consequently follows an entirely different storyline.
1. Pick "Maybe it's some researcher who wants to remain anonymous?" line
2. Pick "It's too risky to rely on some fishy legend to complete your thesis." line
3. Go to Puspa Cafe and have a dialogue with Munirah. The first 3 dialogue options don't create any divergence.
4. Pick "You think that the blessing from the stars is some external power that's out of your control." line.
5. Pick "Why don't we try facing the problem head-on?" line and complete the dialogue.
6. Leave Puspa Cafe to ask help from Katheryne and go to the location she points out to find Azzam.
7. Pick "Don't be nervous. Just explain what you've learned." or "This should be a piece of cake for you." line.
8. Go to House of Daena.
9. Pick "Can you briefly describe the application of the law of triple-orbit shift calculation?" line. Upon completion, players will attain this ending and receive the "She's Already Tense" hidden achievement if Layla's anxiety meter is low. They will also unlock "The Arrayed Stars Mirrored" furniture item (landscape) for the Serenitea Pot.
Layla Hangout Event – The Stars' Expectations Ending
The fifth ending largely mirrors the steps of the fourth ending, but there are two distinct paths to reach it. Players can proceed with the "Thesis Defense Practice" storyline for the first method, or opt for the "Remedial Measures" storyline for the second method. For players beginning from the start, pick the below options and follow the steps:
1. Pick "Maybe it's some researcher who wants to remain anonymous?" line
2. Pick "It's too risky to rely on some fishy legend to complete your thesis." line
3. Pick "You think that the blessing from the stars is some external power that's out of your control." line.
4. Pick "Why don't we try facing the problem head-on?" line and complete the dialogue.
Method 1:
Similar to the fourth ending, players can either pick "Don't be nervous. Just explain what you've learned." or "This should be a piece of cake for you." line.
Pick "Do you know about "The Great Machine"?" line and follow through the quest to unlock the ending.
Method 2:
Pick "If you mess this up, you won't be able to gain his trust." line to reach the same ending albeit with different voice lines in the beginning.
Layla Hangout Event – A Moment of Respite Ending
The last ending diverges earlier in the story path and follows a much more relaxing story path. Players can continue from "A Change of Pace" step. All steps are as follows:
1. Pick "Maybe it's some researcher who wants to remain anonymous?" line
2. Pick "It's too risky to rely on some fishy legend to complete your thesis." line
3. Pick "Only by improving yourself and no longer relying on an external power can you break out of the vicious cycle." line.
4. Pick "Sounds like we need to find a way for you to completely relax." line.
5. After completing a set of tasks that involve going around and certain dialogues and battling monsters and even swimming and climbing, players can unlock the last ending.
Layla Hangout Event Achievements & Rewards
As per usual, three achievements can be earned during the Layla Hangout event in Genshin Impact.
The Name Is Layla – For completing all endings.
Secret of Seelie and the Star-Lit Sky – For unlocking the second ending. (The Price to Pay and Its Returns)
She's Already Tense – Helping Layla with her thesis while keeping a low anxiety level during the fourth ending. (A Matter of Course)
Players can obtain a total of 30 Primogems from the three available achievements while discovering all six endings grants an additional 60 Primogems. In total, players can receive a reward of 90 Primogems alongside some other resources.
