Velyn Talent Tree Build Guide in Call of Dragons

Velyn Guide

Velyn is an extremely strong legendary magic hero in Call of Dragons. Velyn has a magic, PVP, and control talent tree. What is great about Velyn are his skills that deal a good amount of aoe damage and slow down enemies so they can not escape. What you have to keep in mind is that you have to use magic units with him if you want to get all the benefits from the talent tree and skills. You should get Velyn no matter if you are a free-to-play player or pay to win because he will give you so much value and you will use him all the time for PVP.

Velyn Pairings

Liliya

Liliya is the best pairing for Velyn because they are both magical and have great nuke and aoe skills. Together, they will deal an insane amount of damage. The only downside of this pairing is that it is only for pay-to-win players. Liliya can only be obtained via in-game bundles and chests. You can use Liliya talent tree if you have her at max level.

Waldyr

If you are a free-to-play player, you can pair Waldyr with Velyn. Together, they have great synergy and will be able to deal a decent amount of damage. If you do not want to spend too much time leveling Velyn then feel free to use Waldyr talent tree if you have him on max level.

There are some other heroes like Atheus and Theia that you can pair with Velyn, but it depends on your goal and situation.

Frozen Star

Rage Skill

Attack Range: Very Far

Rage Cost: 1,000

Deals Hero Skill damage to the target and 2 surrounding Legions (Magic Damage Factor 600) and inflicts Freeze, reducing their March Speed by 10% for 3s. Each additional target reduces the damage dealt to each target.

Upgrade Preview: 

Skill Damage Factor: 600/ 700 / 8000 / 1000 / 1200

March Speed reduction: 10% / 12% / 14% / 16% / 20%

Perfection of Form

Passive Skill 

While in the field, Velyn’s Legion deals 5% more Hero Skill damage and gains 10% March Speed.

Upgrade Preview: 

Hero Skill damage dealt bonus: 5% / 7% / 9% / 12% / 15%

March Speed bonus: 10% / 12% / 14% / 16% / 20%

Bitter Cold

Passive Skill

All Magic units in Velynis Legion gain 4% Hero Skill Crit Rate and 5% DEF.

Upgrade Preview: 

Magic unit Hero Skill Crit Rate bonus: 4% / 5% / 6% / 8% / 10%

Magic unit DEF bonus: 5% / 7% / 9% / 12% / 15%

Icy Interdiction

Passive Skill 

When in battle, Velyn has a 20% chance to inflict Magic DEF Break and Freeze on the target, reducing their Magic DEF by 10% and their March Speed by 10% for 3s.

Upgrade Preview: 

Magic DEF reduction: 10% / 12% / 14% / 16% / 20%

March Speed reduction: 10% / 15% / 14% / 16% / 20%

Snowblind

Additional Skill

When casting a Rage Skill on a target that is Frozen, Velyn deals additional Hero Skill damage (Magic Damage Factor 400) and removes the target’s Frozen effect.
